Spanking new website

Hello to you out there.

After too many years to say and a resolve to get a better web presence, I’ve got a spanking new website, along with the help of Naomi at websitetogo.co.uk.

I’ve met so many genuinely ‘nice’ people over the years of being in this industry and some have become great friends like photographer Sussie Bell ,who shot this and the following photos with me.

Sussie’s a great one for doing test shots, even when she’s busy on commercial jobs.

She moved to the rural village of Chaddleworth a few years ago and has the use of some wonderful grounds around the converted stable where she lives with her partner Andy. In October, when the colours on the trees were at their most autumnal, I grabbed the opportunity of doing some shots with her.

My motivation was twofold. Obviously I wanted some new shots for my portfolio but I also wanted to use the deck/directors chair pictured.

A sucker for a piece of 50’s/60’s furniture and also for a bargain, I picked this up from my local tip. ‘You can’t throw that away!’ I admonished an elderly couple as they prepared to launch this fabulous mid century chair into the pit amongst the mattresses and MDF, and so it became mine.

And so it came to be centre stage in our ‘Shooting Lodge’ series of photos, which we subsequently sold to Country Home & Interiors Magazine.

(Thanks for the loan of your retro bike, Andy)
